The Return

So, I haven’t updated this blog in awhile, I apologise to my legions of fans *cough*. Well, I have now finished exams and am on holidays. So, without further ado, allow me to re-introduce myself. Well, fuck that, I’ll just post music.

A good lyricist is hard to find in hip-hop nowadays. However, a new generation is on the come up. Just as Lupe Fiasco impressed the fuck out of everyone a few years ago these new guys have been making quite a name for themselves in the U.S hip-hop underground scene. Three of them: Charles Hamilton, Mickey Factz and Cory Gunz spaz out over Mobb Deep’s ‘Quiet Storm’ and holy shit, it blew me the fuck away, these dudes are CRAZY.

Joe Budden, the favourite rapper of many hip-hop bloggers worldwide is finally bringing out his second album ‘Padded Room’ very soon. It’s a shame the guy didn’t find much mainstream success, he is definently one of the most emotionally-charged rappers out. Anyway, he has a new song with once-rival Game, who rarely impresses me, I mean, Game is ok sometimes, but his image is tarnished by his dickhead fans (ie, the fully sick pseduo-’thugs’ riding around Parramatta blasting some radio track that everyone’s sick to death of). Onto the track though, The beat is HOT, and I mean HOT. Mr Budden seems to like cheesy hooks though, No idea why, he seems like an intelligent guy.

Death From Above 1979, everybody who knows them loves them and wishes they’d re-unite. Oh well, if you haven’t this, get it now. Indie Rock at its finest.

Oh my god, have you heard the new live Justice album. Insane, in-fucking-sane. ‘A Cross The Universe’ is a must. Here’s a little sample, it’s them banging out some fucking Metallica and mixing it with ‘tthhee party.’ It’s short, but fuck, you HAVE to hear this:

Justice – Final (Metallica)

Kanye West’s album is out, hit and miss in my opinion, definently not his best album so far, but of course he tried coming from left field, but the album is better than I expected it to be. The best song from it is definently ‘Paranoid’ soooooo:

Kanye West Feat Mr Hudson – Paranoid

Kool Keith is so strange, I love it. Here’s a little gem he did awhile ago with none other than The Prodigy. You will love this:

And because I’m generous here’s ‘Citizen Erased’ by Muse, which everyone should already have, but in case you like living under rocks, here you go:
